Terry’s Montessori School, Inc. has provided Montessori education in the Cincinnati suburb of Wyoming since 1973. We began as a full day Montessori home care program for children 2 years through 6 years of age and now offer an infant and toddler program as well.
Terry’s Montessori School, Inc. was established in 1972 in Forest Park, Ohio. We started in our home and a year later we moved to the historical community of Wyoming, Ohio. We have resided in this community since 1973. We began with a full day Montessori home care program for children 2 years through 6 years of age at our 209 Wyoming Avenue location. Today, our Wyoming school is home to our pre-K and kindergarten students.
As word of our program spread and our enrollment increased, we needed additional space, and in 1988 we purchased an older home 2 blocks away at 425 Crescent Avenue. This school now houses children from 2 1/2 to 4 years of age. In 1991, the building next door (435 Crescent) became available and we began our new venture in creating a Montessori infant/toddler program.
We weren’t quite done growing! Our infant waiting list showed us there was a greater need for more cribs, so in 1993 we purchased 415 Poplar which gave us 3 more openings – totaling 14. In need of additional office space and a conference center, we acquired an office building in 2003 to include our administrative needs and to add an enrichment program for our toddler program.
Terry’s Montessori School was created to offer families a unique, homelike environment, within turn of the century homes. Over the years Terry’s has provided a warm and caring setting in which a sound education and developmental program has flourished. This atmosphere was fashioned to cultivate a healthy self-image for each child in our school.
