November Events:
Webby Dance every week; Wednesdays @ 209 & Thursdays @ 425.
11/18 – 209 children will be visiting Caldwell Nature Center. This is an interactive program that will focus on the everyday life an an Ohio Native American Child from the late 1700′s. Students will experience daily life skills, games, and story telling, in addition to the food, clothing and shelter of the period. They will hike with a guide who will stress Native American historical uses of forest resources. Dress your child in warm clothing, they will be wearing their boots from school. This would be a great time to check out library books on Native Americans or books on animal tracking.
11/22 – Thanksgiving Feast. The children at 209 will reenact the 1st Pilgrim feast. Children are asked to bring a food item to share (see sign-up), this offers an early lesson in sharing and an opportunity to learn from this “delicious” holiday. We will talk about being thankful for the wonderful food on our tables, at todays feast, that we are able to share with our family and friends. Both 435 and 425 will be served a Thanksgiving feast as well.
11/24 & 25 – Terry’s will be closed.
